The Greater Orlando Spinal Cord Injury Network is a non-profit group for persons with SCI in the Orlando area.  Their mission is to serve the needs of SCIs in employment, adaptive sports, recreation, social functions, networking, outreach, SCI prevention, and guest speakers for the group and the community. 
  • Support Group
    Orlando Health Regional Medical Center, 52 W Underwood Street, Orlando, FL 32806
    Group meets on Tuesdays every month from 3pm to 4pm in the Independent Living Apartment located on the 14th floor.
    • 1st Tuesday - Regular group (inpatients and community members)
    • 2nd Tuesday - Women with SCI (inpatients and community women only)
    • 3rd Tuesday - Regular group (inpatients and community members)
    • 4th Tuesday - Family members and caregivers of persons with SCI (inpatient and community family/caregivers only)

    Neuro Exercise/Therapy Programs

    Core- Provides an activity based neuro recovery program for clients with spinal cord injuries and related disorders.
    Core Foundation Scholarships- Provides scholarship to people that participate in the Core therapy program.

    Next Step Orlando- Is an innovative specialized exercise-based recovery program.

    Neuro Hub- Offers skilled occupational therapy for adults and children with SCI and range of other neurological conditions.

    Resource Guides

    Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation- Dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information, peer mentorship and advocacy.

    Center For Independent Living- Provides different resources and programs to assist individuals living with disabilities to achieve their goals for independence.

    Agency For Persons With Disabilities- A State of Florida program that provides resources and referrals in a wide variety of fields.  


    Adaptive Sports

    Tighten The Drag- Helps to provide scholarships for individuals living with paralysis to attend activity based exercise therapy and recovery. They also provide different adaptive sports opportunities.   

    Oceans of hope- Is a non-profit organization providing adaptive ocean sport opportunities to individuals with limited mobility.

    Challenged Athletes Foundation- CAF is a  charitable organization providing grants, as well as opportunities and other support, for athletes living with disabilities.

    Kelly Brush Foundation- Provides adaptive sports equipment directly to people living with paralysis.

    Clash Wheelchair Rugby- Provides adaptive sports opportunities for individuals living with spinal cord injuries.
